Swarm Out is a survivor arena: you only steer a little robot, and its gear does the shooting. Jelly blobs pour in from every side; pop them, scoop up the crystals they drop, level up and pick one of three upgrades — then beat the big blob at the end of the clock. If you like Vampire Survivors, Survivor.io, Archero or the new Bloons Blitz, this is your kind of game.

The 'bullet heaven' genre — survive a growing horde while your weapons fire by themselves — took over PCs with Vampire Survivors and phones with Survivor.io and Archero, and it keeps producing hits: Ninja Kiwi's Bloons Blitz went to number one in several countries within days of launch this autumn. Swarm Out brings that loop to the browser in short levels you can finish on a coffee break, free and with nothing to install.

You start with a blaster that fires at the nearest blob. Every blob you pop leaves a cyan crystal; walk over crystals (or pull them in with the magnet) to fill the level bar. Each level-up stops the action and offers three cards: more blaster shots, orbs that spin around you and knock blobs away, a shock ring that pulses out from the robot, more speed, a stronger magnet, a faster fire rate, or a heal. Builds come together fast, and no two runs feel the same.

The swarm grows as the clock runs: purple grunts first, then quick pink runners and slow green tanks that soak up hits. When the clock runs out, the spawning stops and a big crowned blob arrives — pop it to clear the level. Later levels last longer and bring tougher, thicker swarms. You have five hearts; a touch costs one, with a short blink of safety after each hit. Stars are for finishing with your hearts intact.

Overrun? A short video revives you once a level with full hearts and a cleared space around you. After a win, a video buys a head start — an extra upgrade card at the start of the next level. Swarm Out runs on desktop, phone and tablet with one-finger steering or the keyboard, saves your level and stars in the browser, and ranks the highest levels on the leaderboard.

Is Swarm Out free to play?

Yes. Swarm Out is free on crokocat with no download and no sign-up — it runs in your browser on desktop, phone and tablet.

Is Swarm Out like Vampire Survivors?

Yes, it plays on the same idea: you steer, your weapons fire automatically, and you choose upgrades as you level up. Swarm Out uses short levels with a boss at the end. It is a separate game by crokocat.

How do I attack?

You don't have to — your gear fires on its own. You only steer the robot and choose upgrades.

What upgrades are there?

Blaster (more shots, then piercing), Orbs that circle you, Shock (a ring that pulses out), Speed, Magnet (pull crystals from further away), Rapid (faster firing) and Heal.

How do I finish a level?

Survive until the clock runs out, then pop the big crowned blob that arrives.

What happens when I lose all my hearts?

The level ends. A short video can revive you once per level with full hearts.

Can I play with one hand on a phone?

Yes — drag anywhere to steer; everything else is automatic except tapping an upgrade card.
