Bolt Out is a screw puzzle: colourful plates are screwed to a board in layers, and you have only a few free holes. Move screws one at a time until each plate has none left and drops away — clear the board in as few moves as you can.

A screw pins every plate that has a hole where it sits. Take out all of a plate's screws and it falls.

You can only put a screw into a hole if every plate lying over that hole has a hole there too — and then the screw pins those plates as well, so think before you park it.

Every level is checked by a solver, and the fewest moves it needs is shown: match it for three stars.

Undo and restart are free, and the bulb shows a good next move from wherever you are.

Boards grow from two plates to nine, with bars across, diagonals and L-shaped plates stacked on top of each other.

How to play Bolt Out

Drop every plate:

Desktop: Click a screw, then click a hole.
Mobile: Tap a screw, then tap a hole. Hold the phone upright.
