Spade Call Online
Spade Call is classic partnership Spades: you and Leo across the table against Mia and Zoe. Everyone bids the tricks they expect to win, spades beat every other suit, and your team has to make its contract together.
Bid after the others, with a suggestion from your cards — Aces, protected Kings and spades.
Follow suit if you can; otherwise trump with a spade or throw away. Spades can't be led until one has been played.
Make your contract for 10 points a trick bid (plus 1 for every extra); fall short and you lose 10 a trick bid.
Early levels ask you to make your bid; from level 6 you also need to outscore the other team.
Set the other team (they miss their bid) for three stars.
How to play Spade Call
Make your team's contract:
- Look at the others' bids, set yours with − and +, and tap bid.
- Follow the suit that was led when you can.
- Out of a suit? A spade wins the trick unless a higher spade comes.
- Don't overtake your partner when he's already winning.
- Together, take at least as many tricks as you bid.

Tips for Spade Call
- Count Aces and Kings with a small card to protect them as likely tricks.
- Long spades win tricks late in the hand — count on them.
- Lead your side-suit Aces early before someone runs out of the suit.
- Play low when your partner is already winning the trick.
- Short in a suit? Save a spade to trump it.
