Terms of Service

The short version

crokocat is free to play, needs no account, and asks nothing of you. Play as much as you like. Do not copy our games or try to break the site. The games are provided as they are, and we cannot promise they will always work perfectly.

Using crokocat

You may use crokocat for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. No registration or payment is required.

• What you may do. Play any game, as often as you like, on any device. Share links to our pages freely. Embed our games on your own site using the official embed option described on our embed page.
• What you may not do. Copy, download, rebuild, decompile or redistribute our games or their assets; strip our branding from an embedded game; scrape the site in bulk or with automated tools; interfere with the site's operation, security or advertising; or use crokocat in any way that breaks applicable law.
• Age. Our games are intended for a general audience. If you are under the age at which you can agree to these Terms in your country, please use crokocat with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Our games and content

The games published on crokocat, together with their code, artwork, sound, text and the site itself, are our own work and remain our property. Playing a game gives you permission to play it — it does not transfer any ownership or grant a licence to reuse the material elsewhere.

Game titles, mechanics and genres that resemble other well-known games are our own independent implementations. Any third-party names mentioned in our descriptions are used only to describe a genre and belong to their respective owners.

Embedding our games

We are happy for other sites to embed our games, provided the embed is used unmodified, keeps the crokocat branding and link intact, and is not placed on a site containing illegal, hateful or adult material. Details are on our embed page. We may withdraw permission to embed at any time.

Advertising and third-party links

crokocat is funded by advertising. Ads are supplied by third-party networks, which may set cookies as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not control the content of individual ads, and showing an ad is not an endorsement of the product advertised.

The site may link to other websites. Those sites are outside our control and have their own terms and privacy practices; we are not responsible for their content.

Availability and changes

We add, update and occasionally retire games. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site — including an individual game — at any time and without notice. Progress and high scores are stored only in your own browser, so clearing your browser data or switching devices will lose them. We do not keep backups of your progress.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

No warranty

crokocat and its games are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device or browser, and we make no promise that any particular game will remain available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of crokocat, including lost game progress, lost data or lost time. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here affects any statutory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
