Crown Hop is checkers and draughts on a chunky 3D board. Pick the rules you grew up with — Classic English checkers, Russian shashki, Brazilian or International draughts on the big 10×10 board — and climb a ladder of games against a bot that gets sharper with every level, or play a friend on one device.

Discs move diagonally forward on the dark squares and take by jumping over an enemy disc. Taking is compulsory, and a chain of jumps keeps going while it can; a gold ring shows which of your discs have to take.

A disc that reaches the far row is crowned. In Classic rules a king steps one square in any diagonal direction; in Russian, Brazilian and International rules kings fly along the whole diagonal and men may take backwards.

Russian rules crown a disc in the middle of a capture and let it carry on as a king; Brazilian and International rules make the longest capture compulsory. International draughts is played on a 10×10 board with twenty discs a side.

Tap a disc and its landing squares appear as dots — rings where a move takes. One tap on the last square plays the whole chain, the disc hopping from square to square while the taken discs pop off to the tray.

The bot starts gentle and looks deeper as you climb; from level five you play the dark side on even levels. Undo and the bulb are always there — a clean win is worth three stars.

The rule set you pick is remembered; the first time, the game guesses it from your language.

How to play Crown Hop

Take all the other discs, or leave them no move:

Desktop: Click discs and squares. Ctrl+Z takes back a move, Escape returns to the menu.
Mobile: Tap discs and squares. Hold the phone upright.
