UnTile is a relaxing ant colony puzzle in the family of Colony Flow and Jelly Busters: crews of tiny worker ants take a pixel art picture apart tile by tile. You decide which crew marches when — and with only five stands to work from, order is everything.

In 2026 ant colony puzzles marched straight up the mobile charts — Colony Flow! alone picked up half a million downloads and a 4.5-star crowd within weeks of launch, and Moon Active's Jelly Busters gave the same picture-busting idea a jelly twist and a top-100 puzzle spot of its own. The recipe is instantly charming: a pixel art picture built from colored cubes, queues of busy worker ants, and a simple tap that sends a crew off to do its job. UnTile brings that recipe to the browser — free, no download, no sign-up, one click and the colony gets to work.

Every box in the queue holds a crew of ants of one color. Tap the front box of a column and it takes one of five stands; its ants run to the picture, trot around the edge and dive straight in. Here is the puzzle: an ant can only carry off a tile with a clear straight line to the picture's edge, so the picture peels from the outside in, and the order you send the crews decides everything. Send a color that is still buried and the box just stands there waiting, holding a stand hostage — when all five stands are stuck waiting, the colony grinds to a halt and the level is lost. There is no timer and nothing to dodge; the only pressure is the order of your own taps.

Behind the ants there is a lot to uncover: over 260 hand-picked pixel art pictures — animals, food, characters, little scenes and kaleidoscope patterns — each level carrying its own palette. Later levels add linked boxes that only march as a pair, and hidden colors that stay invisible until you clear the tiles around them. Lives refill on their own — one every half hour — and coins earned from wins can buy an instant retry, so a lost level never costs more than a short break.
