Letter Sweep is a word search played on a tray of chunky letter tiles. Every level has a theme — fruit, animals, the ocean, space — and a list of words hidden in the grid. Drag across a word and the tiles lift under your finger; get it right and the word glows in the theme's colour, hops, and is ticked off the list.

Every word in the list is hidden in the grid in a straight line. Find one, drag from its first letter to its last, and let go. The selection always snaps to one of the eight straight directions, so a slightly shaky finger still draws a clean line.

Levels climb gently. The first grids are seven by seven with five words that only run across and down. Diagonals join at level four, backwards words and rising diagonals from level eleven, and from level twenty-six the grid is ten by ten with eight words running in any of the eight directions.

Each level has its own theme and colour, and every grid is built so that each word appears exactly once — the random letters around it are checked so they never spell a second copy by accident.

There is no penalty for a wrong drag. Stars come from speed: find everything within the level's par time for three stars. Your level, stars and best go on your device and the highest level on the leaderboard.

The tray and the tiles are drawn in 3D in the browser, so there is nothing to install; it is sized for a phone held upright and works with a mouse.

Find every word in the list:

Desktop: Click on the first letter, drag to the last, release. Escape returns to the menu.
Mobile: Drag with a finger from the first letter to the last. Hold the phone upright.
