Memory는 어릴 적 하던 짝 맞추기 게임을 한 단계 끌어올린 작품입니다. 카드 두 장을 뒤집어 짝을 찾고 콤보를 살려 두면서, 보드가 친절한 6장에서 30장짜리 괴물로 커지는 걸 지켜보세요.

비 오는 오후에 진짜 카드로 Memory를 해본 적은 다들 있을 겁니다. 카드를 엎어 펼쳐 놓고, 두 장을 뒤집고, 탄식하고, 다시 덮죠. 여기서도 규칙은 그대로입니다. 달라진 건 그 주변 전부예요. 짝이 맞으면 팡 터지고, 틀리면 보드가 흔들리고, 연속으로 맞히면 콤보 카운터에 불이 붙고, 한 단계를 끝내면 제대로 된 작은 불꽃놀이가 펼쳐집니다.

시작은 부드럽습니다. 카드 6장에 미리보기 시간도 넉넉해서 첫 판은 순전히 눈으로 몸풀기를 할 수 있어요. 그러다 보드가 커집니다. 12장, 16장, 20장으로 늘어나고 미리보기는 점점 짧아지다가 아예 사라져서, 결국 진짜 내 기억력만 남게 되죠. 30장 보드에 도달할 즈음이면 처음 시작했던 것과는 전혀 다른 게임을 하고 있을 겁니다.

점수 체계는 기억력만큼이나 배짱을 보상합니다. 연속으로 맞힐 때마다 점수가 배가돼요. 100점, 200점, 300점, 그 위로도요. 한 번만 틀려도 사다리 맨 아래로 돌아갑니다. 일찍 찍는 건 값싸지만 기억해 내는 건 그렇지 않죠. 한 번도 틀리지 않고 끝낸 완벽한 단계에는 두둑한 보너스가 붙습니다.

타이머도 없고 지는 방법도 없습니다. 그저 나와 점점 커지는 카드의 벽, 그리고 방금 그 판은 더 잘할 수 있었다고 속삭이는 최고 점수뿐이에요. 사이트에서 가장 차분한 게임입니다. 콤보가 ×4에 닿아 손바닥이 반박하기 전까지는요.

Memory 하는 법

진짜 카드로 짝 맞추기를 해봤다면 규칙은 이미 아는 셈입니다. 그래도 적어 두자면:

아무 카드나 탭해 앞면으로 뒤집고, 두 번째 카드를 탭해 짝을 찾으세요.
두 장이 짝이면 그대로 열려 있고 점수가 들어옵니다.
짝이 아니면 다시 덮입니다. 무엇을 어디서 봤는지 기억해 두세요.
연속으로 맞히면 콤보가 쌓입니다. ×2, ×3, ×4… 한 번 틀리면 ×1로 초기화돼요.
모든 짝을 찾으면 단계 완료. 올라갈수록 보드가 커지고 미리보기 시간은 사라집니다.

Memory 팁

초반 단계에서는 모든 카드를 잠깐 보여 줍니다. 그 미리보기로 구석부터 확실히 외워 두세요.
틀렸다고 그냥 넘기지 마세요. 드러난 카드 두 장은 공짜로 얻은 지도 조각 두 개입니다.
콤보가 뜨거울 때는 확실한 짝을 노리고, 반반짜리 도박은 초기화된 뒤로 미루세요.
카드를 위치와 함께 머릿속으로 소리 내어 묶어 두세요. ‘판다, 오른쪽 위’가 흐릿한 이미지보다 훨씬 잘 남습니다.
큰 보드에서는 격자 여기저기를 건너뛰지 말고 한 구역씩 정리해 나가세요.
