Melon Mergeはインターネットを飲み込んだスイカゲーム系のパズルです。かわいいフルーツを器に落とし、同じもの同士がむにゅっと合体していく様子を眺めながら、小さなさくらんぼから堂々たるスイカまで、山が線に届く前に育て上げましょう。
2023年の終わりごろ、フルーツを合体させる小さな日本製の物理パズルが世界でもっとも見られたゲームのひとつになり、以来ランキングから離れようとしません。2026年初頭に続編が登場したことがその証拠です。完成された仕組みは口で言えば単純で、しかし手放せません。同じフルーツが2つ触れるとひとつ大きなフルーツになり、そして器には決して十分な余裕がない。
Melon Mergeはその愛されたメカニクスをcrokocat流に仕立てたものです。さくらんぼ、いちご、ぶどう、オレンジ、りんご、レモン、もも、パイナップル、メロン、そして最後にスイカ。10種類のフルーツが階段を作り、合体するほど得点も伸びていきます。器の中では本物の2D物理演算が動いていて、フルーツは転がり、落ち着き、互いに寄りかかり、すき間へ滑り込みます。つまり1個落とすたびに山全体が組み替わり、1回の合体が連鎖に育つこともあります。
緊張感の正体は空間です。大きなフルーツは高得点ですが、とんでもない場所を取ります。そして器の上部にある赤い線は容赦がありません。フルーツがその上で止まってしまえばプレイ終了です。このジャンルの達人は2手先の合体まで考えます。ペアを隅に寄せ、中央を空けておき、器の半分を一気に片づける見事な連鎖を仕込むのです。
そしてスイカ同士がついに出会うと、花火とともに消えていきます。このジャンル最高の栄誉です。1プレイは5分ほど。もうやめようと決めるまでには、それよりずっと長くかかります。
Melon Mergeの遊び方
器はひとつ、フルーツは10種類、越えてはいけない線が1本。
- マウスか指で狙いを定めます。次のフルーツはガイド線とともに器の上でぶら下がっています。
- クリックまたはタップで落とします。あとは物理演算まかせ。フルーツは転がり、落ち着き、積み上がります。
- 同じフルーツが2つ触れると、階段のひとつ上のフルーツに合体します。
- 大きな合体ほど高得点で、合体が連なると山の中で連鎖していきます。
- 赤い線より上でフルーツが止まると器があふれ、プレイ終了です。
パソコン: マウスで狙い、クリックまたはスペースキーで落とします。矢印キーで狙いを微調整できます。
スマホ: ドラッグして狙い、指を離して落とします。
Melon Mergeのコツ
- 大きなフルーツは隅に寄せ、新しいものは中央寄りに落としましょう。真ん中のスイカはただの壁です。
- 進めながら仕分けましょう。さくらんぼはさくらんぼと、早めにこまめに。整った器は勝手に合体してくれます。
- 1手先の合体を考えましょう。ぶどう2つの隣にもうひとつ落とせば連鎖の仕込みになります。
- 危ない落とし方で器の反対側の合体を追いかけないこと。線の近くでの投げ損ないが、プレイが終わる典型です。
- 赤い線が点滅し始めたら、積むのをやめて下へ向かって合体させましょう。

Melon Mergeは2026年にゲームスタジオcrokocatによって作られました。話題になったスイカゲーム系のメカニクスを一から作り直し、自作の2D物理演算と手描きの笑顔のフルーツを備え、マウスとタッチに合わせて調整しています。
