Block CrushはBlock Blastの流れをくむ8×8のブロックパズルです。トレイからピースを盤面へドラッグし、行や列をそろえて消し、次の3個のために盤面の呼吸を保ちましょう。制限時間なし、回転なし。あるのは自分とグリッドだけです。

Block BlastやBlockudoku、あるいはほかの8×8ブロックパズルを遊んだことがあるなら、流れはもうご存じです。トレイに3個のピースが届き、それぞれをどこかに収めなければならず、行や列がそろうたびに気持ちのいい音とともに消えていく。Block Crushはそのループを本来あるべき形のまま保ち、しかもブラウザでそのまま動きます。アプリストアは必要ありません。

このジャンルをここまでクセになるものにしている仕掛けは、ピースを回転できないことです。L字はいつまでもL字なので、反応するのではなく計画することになります。上手いプレイヤーは1手先のトレイまで考えます。ここで隅を使ってしまったら、次の3個はどこに置ける？盤面は小さくても、選択肢の枝分かれはまるで小さくありません。

スコアが爆発するのはコンボです。連続する配置でラインを消すたびに得点が増えていき、複数ラインの消去を含む長い連続は、10分ぶんの慎重なプレイを上回ることもあります。混み合った盤面を承知でダブルやトリプルの消去を仕込むのがこのゲームの中心的な腕前で、光るプレビューが確定前にどのラインが消えるかを正確に見せてくれます。

残ったピースがどこにも置けなくなるとゲーム終了です。ベストスコアは端末に保存されるので、追いかける数字はいつでもそこにあります。あと1回だけのつもりが、あと1回で終わることはめったにありません。

Block Crushの遊び方

Block Crushは覚えるのに10秒、手放すのには長い時間がかかります。短いチュートリアルが最初の消去まで案内してくれます。

トレイの3個のピースからひとつを選び、8×8の盤面へドラッグします。
行または列をすべて埋めると消えます。行と列は同時に消えます。
3個すべてを置くと、新しい3個が届きます。
連続する配置でラインを消し続けるとコンボが積み上がり、スコアが倍増します。
残ったピースがどれも盤面に置けなくなるとゲーム終了です。

パソコン: ピースをクリックしたまま盤面の上へドラッグすると、着地位置のゴーストと消えるラインの発光が表示されます。離すと配置されます。

スマホ: タッチしてドラッグします。ピースは指の少し上に浮くので盤面が隠れず、同じゴーストプレビューが出ます。ハイライトされた場所で離してください。

Block Crushのコツ

3×3の正方形のために隅をひとつ空けておきましょう。盤面が混んだとき、たいていのプレイを終わらせるのはこのピースです。
消せるからといってすぐに消さないこと。ダブルやトリプルの消去を仕込むほうが、単発3回よりずっと高得点です。
コンボはリズムに報います。配置のたびに1ラインずつ消し続けると倍率が伸びていくので、毎手少しずつ消える形を狙いましょう。
細長い1×5のピースは終盤の救世主です。少なくとも1本、まっすぐ空いたレーンを残しておきましょう。
トレイを見ましょう。どこにも置けないピースは暗く表示されます。3個のうち2個が暗いなら、次の配置で場所を空けるしかありません。
