Smash Shed is a smash room with a ragdoll: a wooden shed full of plates, mugs, bottles, vases, lamps, clocks, TVs, crates, fishbowls, guitars and mirrors — and a stuffed crash dummy hanging from a rope in the middle. Grab it, swing it and throw it into the shelves, whack things with a hammer, and fill the fun meter. If you liked Kick the Buddy or Smash Room, you will feel right at home.

Breaking things is the oldest stress relief there is, and games have made it a genre of its own. Kick the Buddy has been one of the most played ragdoll games for years and still sits among the popular games on Poki, while Smash Room games let you break a whole room full of stuff without the bill. Smash Shed puts both ideas in one place, free in the browser: a little shed of breakables, a floppy dummy, and a growing toolbox.

Everything in the shed runs on real physics. The dummy is a cloth ragdoll on a rope: grab it by any limb, swing it in circles and let go to send it crashing into the shelves. Every object has its own toughness — plates, mugs and bottles shatter at a light knock, vases and lamps need a proper hit, and TVs and crates only give way to a hard throw or a heavy tool. When something breaks it bursts into pieces that scatter across the floor.

The tools grow with you. Grab and the hammer are free. Fun earns coins, and coins buy a bowling ball that falls from the ceiling, a bomb with a short fuse, a rocket that streaks across the room and bursts, and finally an anvil that flattens anything under it. Every break and every good hit on the dummy fills the fun meter; fill it to clear the shed, and the next shed has more and tougher stuff in it.

There is no way to lose — only faster and slower smashing, with three stars for a quick clear, so it is a good game for a short break whenever you need to let off steam. Smash Shed runs on desktop, phone and tablet with no download and no sign-up, and your shed, coins and tools are saved in your browser.

About this game

Controls
Pick a tool in the bar at the bottom — or press 1 to 6 on a keyboard. With Grab, press on anything (the dummy, a TV, a crate, a mug) and drag it around; let go while you are moving and it flies. With the Hammer, tap anything to whack it. The bowling ball and the anvil drop from the ceiling above where you tap, the bomb lands where you tap and goes off a second later, and the rocket shoots in from the side at the height you tap. Locked tools show their price in coins: tap one when you can afford it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Smash Shed free to play?

Yes. Smash Shed is free on crokocat with no download and no sign-up — it runs in your browser on desktop, phone and tablet.

Is Smash Shed like Kick the Buddy?

It has the same kind of fun: a floppy dummy you can grab, throw and whack, and a set of tools to unlock. It is also a smash room like Smash Room games — a shed full of things to break — and breaking them is how you fill the fun meter.

How do I throw the dummy?

Choose Grab, press on the dummy and drag. Let go while you are still moving and it flies in that direction.

Why won't the TV break?

Heavy things are tougher. Throw something hard at them, drop the bowling ball or the anvil on them, or use the bomb.

How do I get new tools?

Everything you break and every good hit on the dummy pays coins. Tap a locked tool when you can afford it.

Can I lose?

No. Fill the fun meter to clear the shed; the faster you do it, the more stars you get.

Is it violent?

It is cartoon slapstick: the dummy is a stuffed cloth doll on a rope, and only plates, mugs and furniture actually break.
